Your Tasks:

The Sales Development team is part of the IONOS Cloud sales organization in the Digital Sales department and works closely with the account managers of all teams, Marketing and Sales Operations. We are the first point of contact for prospects and new customers at IONOS Cloud and answer product inquiries on all channels, pre-qualify first customer projects, support smaller existing customers, qualify leads, conduct acquisition and get involved in projects. As a Business Development Manager* you will support our sales team. You will organize your daily routine yourself and on your own responsibility, while pursuing a clear set of goals. Your actions will be aligned with the IONOS values: performant, secure, simple. Your work will focus on expanding and maintaining contacts with companies from the German Mittelstand.

  • You will be responsible for advising customers and interested parties by telephone and pre-qualifying them about the possible uses of our cloud solutions in the B2B sector with the aim of generating a consultation appointment for our account managers.
  • Communicate via phone, email, web chat and video conference with customers and colleagues.
  • Documentation and maintenance as well as evaluation of key sales figures via CRM and other web-based systems.
  • Identification of potentials, customer needs, market and technology trends as well as support of the marketing department in planning campaigns.

We Appreciate:

Ideally, you have enjoyed sales training or completed a degree in economics, political science, computer science or a comparable field of study. In addition, the following points apply to you:

  • First relevant experience in a sales environment, ideally on B2B in the IT industry.
  • You enjoy active telephoning and are a strong communicator.
  • You have the ability to quickly adapt to different interlocutors and to identify their needs precisely.
  • You are a performance, results-oriented and entrepreneurial personality with a professional appearance and have a very good command of German and English.
